This quiet painting is layered with marks and visual texture, sealed in wax and gently buffed. It was created to capture that sense of calm you feel when you arrive at the beach, when there's not a breath of wind and you have it all to yourself! The crooked tree has grown with bumps and twists, but to me, it's framing my morning view just perfectly.
